New Learning Exchange E-Journal:

Edition 97 has just been released in the Learning Exchange. This is our annual teams edition of the Learning Exchange and it focuses on some of the key misunderstandings about teams, reasons for failure and importantly how high-performing teams can be achieved.

Feature article contributors are Chala Dincoy, Marie Kane, Dick McCann and Arky Ciancutti.

Learning Exchange E-Journal

Chala Dincoy starts the edition by bringing awareness to the 5 Faces of Mistrust and challenges us to examine and confront any symptoms in our own teams; Distinguishing teams from work groups is a critical first step in any development process and Marie Kane gives a wealth of information and practical exercises to ensure you define and develop groups for the best performance; Dick McCann takes us on a fascinating journey into psychological biases in individual and team performance and reinforces the need for L&D professionals to make the unconscious conscious; Them-and-Us is a circumstance we have all encountered and Arky Ciancutti gives an in-depth look at the culture and work styles that can create this dynamic before showing us how to turn it into a competitive advantage.

The fourth of our bi-monthly case studies for 2014 is Working with Linking Skills by Marc Tscheuschner.

With this case study the author shares some ideas on how to work with teams and the Linking Leader Model. Marc also gives step-by-step details on his Linking Tarp activity and an overview of the design in action.
