Team Management Systems (TMS) was founded more than 25 years ago when Charles Margerison and I developed the ideas that became the Types of Work Wheel and the Team Management Wheel. Since then we have continued the work, both separately and together, to develop a powerful set of techniques for personal, team and organizational development. This e-book is the first in a series to describe the concepts that form the core of TMS technology.

Over the years I have been impressed with the performance of teams that have many characteristics that are best described as 'high energy'. Team members are commited to high level outputs and work with so much energy and enthusiasm that it is almost infectious.

In this e-book I describe a model Charles and I developed to help any team achieve this high-energy level. I have also updated the model, adding recent ideas of risk and values and also indicating specifically how the various TMS products and processes can be applied to examine the issues raised by the eight questions that form the basis of the High-Energy Teams Model.
